We had a tremendous email response from a lot of you! Thank you!
We would love for you to publicly post your engaging emails to us in this forum for everyone to see. We hope this makes a positive impact on future healthcare of Brevard and Indian River County residents, and everywhere politics and nepotism preside over patient care. Just your words of concern are enough to start a conversation on a bigger platform!
I feel the same way. Dr. Januszewski is a God send. He cares for his patients, he's compassionate and kind. I hope Dr. Januszewski appeals and wins. Keeping fingers crossed that the outcome changes.
As a patient of Dr. Jacob Januszewski, it was so very disappointing to hear of the court's decision to shut down this practice. I had an accident about 4 years ago and had finally gotten to the point of some resolution. I was originally scheduled to have surgery in September of last year and it was cancelled due to Covid and was getting ready to reschedule.
I had originally visited the BACK Center as an initial consult and was appalled at the demeanor of the doctor there. I know so many people who have had many many repeat surgeries performed by the B.A.C.K. Center. It's like an assembly line there. Way too busy to care about the patients. You are simply just another number. So I sought out a better provider through my pain management provider Dr. Michael Esposito.
Hell would freeze over before I returned to Dr. HINES or Dr. DATTA. And now I must start over completely with a new surgeon who doesn't have the familiarity, education, or recommendation that I had through my previous surgeon, Dr. Bret ABSHIRE in California. Dr. J did his spine fellowship in the same place as my original surgeon; USF Neurosurgery in Tampa, and was aware of the procedure and history there with Dr's. Cahill, Vale, Uribe, etc. There was a level of confidence I had in his expertise.
This decision is so very disappointing, and will result in me having to pay out thousands of dollars more for diagnostic testing, office visits and time to find an unfamiliar surgeon.
While I do understand the premise of non competes, this was so far over reaching. The BACK Center does not own this county, I know that they believe they hold a large degree of power over others in this county. I have lived here for more than 20 years and am aware of how they operate; nor do they have the best interest or wishes of all of us here. This decision only empowered a group of people that believe they have a hold over a "market" of spine patients. That's how we are viewed and treated by them. This is a population of patients seeking necessary medical attention for which they cannot provide for. And, many of us share in having had very poor experiences there.
This decision was pretty devastating for me, both physically, emotionally, and financially. One can only guess how long it will be before I will finally get a resolution to my present condition now.
Bottom line is that this decision by a COURT JUDGE has hurt so many people.
I felt the need to share my disappointment and my frustration over a Judge's decision that has had a very devastating effect on MY overall health.
